"After I was diagnosed I became an advocate for multiple sclerosis giving speeches and meeting people with MS and learning that we weren't alone in the dark with this fight.  What I started to realize was that people really overlook what you can affect in the immediate. As an athlete, if you have an injury, you're proactive in trying to get back and healthy, so I want to help bring more attention to the things we can all affect in the immediate with MS, like nutrition, wellness, and exercise, and so that's where our organization We Heart Health was born."
